The start of a new deck... We went and bought the lumber!

I cut the lumber and Yoko helped me by holding it still so I could try and

cut a straight line..

Now we have it all framed out.. I can't tell you who's but that is because she would kill me.

We did good huh? Take a look at the screen door That is what started all of this. It rotted and needed to be replaced. When we went to Home Depot we got carried away with all the lumber we saw... Not really... the idea of this deck was to make it easy for Shinji to walk outside. Notice how we put the deck more to the end of the screen porch and not towards the brick wall, that is because of the way the door opens. At first we were going to have the steps come down from the front of the deck but the side is better because we can sit on the deck with out people trying to get past us...

We stained the deck redwood... and look at the door I fixed it.. don't laugh it works...

The Garden Today

I wasn't sure if I wanted this on the screen porch or the Garden but It is happy out there with the Gnomes.

Yoko and I decided we didn't like the white dance floor, so I painted it red. It really does look better. All that stuff falling off the pine trees was making the white stained so this is much better.

The Cypress Vine and pink Morning Glory are growing fast. Soon I will spend a lot of time training them to grow up the netting.

I moved the house plants out to the screen porch and they took off! Every one of them has new growth now..

These two little guys came from New Mexico (Thanks Maddie) They are too little to go out to the Gnome Home... so they will stay with us on the screen porch... I really love them.. they are my favorite!!!

For some reason they dried up and fell off.

Now I only see 2 figs on the tree...
